about me

I am a BC-certified elementary educator with diverse classroom experience across Grades K–6. With a strong foundation in developmental psychology and a passion for early learning, I design engaging, inclusive, and inquiry-based learning environments.I have taught in Langley School District as a Classroom Teacher and Teacher-Teaching-on-Call, and I am currently completing my IB Educator Certificate (PYP).
I believe every child learns best when they feel safe, seen, and inspired — and I strive to make that possible every day. Get in touch!

My experiences as a learner and a teacher have led me to believe that there are several key elements for successful teaching: fostering a positive relationship with students; grasping fundamental knowledge and challenging yourself; critically applying learning to real-life situations; appreciating diversity; being a lifelong learner and contributing to our communities. As Nikos Kazantzakis said, "True teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create their own." My goal is to be an effective teacher that can maximize students' learning by enhancing their skills, abilities, and capacity to be lifelong learners.
